Great Trip report.
A few years ago we set up camp at the high end of the canyon and started hiking down. About half way down we climbed up the west side of the canyon to the top of the reef. Great views from up there, I would love do it again and bring the camera along this time.

Yea, really wish I would have done this on my recent trip through S. Utah... And speaking of that trip, I too found a lost dog - he was way out in Chicken Corners outside Moab. We took him into town and called the Sheriff dispatch who rather rudely told us that Chicken Corners was in another county so they couldn't help. Long story, but we got the nice dog to someone who could help.
